Ceramic Tower Packings

Ceramic Tower Packings

We carry some stock of the most commonly used ceramic packing for corrosive applications as well as certain alumina balls used as catalyst support.

  • Packing with balls has a comparatively small surface per packed volume
  • The expected pressure drop is quite high
  • They are often used as catalyst carriers and flow straighteners
  • Ceramic Balls are available in the sizes from # 1/8″ to # 2″
  • Other types of ceramic products can be made upon your request indicating the necessary technical data

Metal Tower Packings

Metal Tower Packings

Random packings are a cost-effective option to increase a tower’s capacity and efficiency. Tower packings have been used to reduce pressure drop through the column, increase the capacity compared to conventional trays at the same efficiency, and/or reduce liquid holdup in the column. Hydraulic data sheets for all our products are available on request.

  • We produce the full range of iMS from #15 to #70
  • High-performance random packing, equivalent to the I-Ring or Intalox Metal Tower Packing (IMTP), the industry‘s first and most widely used high-performance random packing
  • Offer large random shapes for good wetting properties
  • Better mass transfer at a smaller hydraulic diameter compared to Pall rings as a result of the open and modern grid structure, the pressure drop is much smaller.
