Metal Tower Packings
Random packings are a cost-effective option to increase a tower’s capacity and efficiency. Tower packings have been used to reduce pressure drop through the column, increase the capacity compared to conventional trays at the same efficiency, and/or reduce liquid holdup in the column. Hydraulic data sheets for all our products are available on request.

- We produce the full range of iMS from #15 to #70
- High-performance random packing, equivalent to the I-Ring or Intalox Metal Tower Packing (IMTP), the industry‘s first and most widely used high-performance random packing
- Offer large random shapes for good wetting properties
- Better mass transfer at a smaller hydraulic diameter compared to Pall rings as a result of the open and modern grid structure, the pressure drop is much smaller.
- An economical and versatile industry standard with well-known performance characteristics
- Punched “tabs” leave “windows” on the outside, facilitating vapour flow and increasing capacity compared with the raschig ring
- Extensively tested by research institutes worldwide
- We also manufacture equivalent size raschig rings

RMXR is a patented ring for high-performance purposes, exceeding 2nd or 3rd generation rings with up to 25% increased capacity.
3 sizes are available #1.5, #2 and #4; #2 has been tested by SRP (Separation Research Program).
It can be used as a replacement or your first choice for nearly all of your metal random packing applications. Using the RMXR allows you to either reduce the diameter for new columns at the same capacity, or keep the diameter for existing and new columns and increase their capacity. All this can lead to a significant reduction of the energy consumption.
RMXR #1.5:
- Weight 160 kg/m3
- Void fraction 98.0 %
